My guest in this episode is Holly Frances a Canadian writer, speaker, illness survivor/advocate, and certified trainer. She is also a mom in a blended family of five and the face behind Holly After GBS on social media, where her recovery videos have inspired millions of people around the world. When she was twenty-six, just weeks after giving birth, she was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder called Guillain-Barre Syndrome. She spent two months fighting for her life in the ICU on a ventilator, completely paralyzed unable to be a mother to her newborn baby girl.
Over time and with diligence, fortitude, the will to survive as well as the love of her daughter, she learned to breathe on her own, strengthen her muscles, to eat, drink, walk and talk again. She went on to re-invent her life to inspire motivate and educate others going through GBS.
