So, Charlie and I recommend that you write yourself a prescription for self-care!

Create a daily or weekly schedule that you take care of yourself!  Take the time to recognize that you are the only one that can effectively prescribe these methodologies for your own mental health and well-being!

Unfortunately, sometimes we have to learn the art of “self-care” as it’s not typically taught to us as a child. Although some people grow up in an environment that nurtures, and develops self-care, some of us have to take a proactive approach to learning it, baby steps in some cases. The key is balancing mind body and soul, doing it at a pace that’s comfortable to you

Furthermore, self-care is extremely important to the caretaker, who is providing care to someone 24/7, and classically thrust into the position without any training or expectation of duties. It is imperative that you learn how to de-stress from that part of your life.
