Born and raised in Pennsylvania, I now live with my family in Ohio. In addition to being an author, I’m also the creator of online magazines for a major car website. Gen. Reynolds, the highest ranking officer to be killed at, and who played a prominent role in the early fighting of Gettysburg, is a relation on my mother’s side.

Now in the latter-part of my 40s, I remember what it was like growing up in the 1980s and learning to walk my own path in the 90s and early 2000s. Over the course of that time, I have seen a great deal of change socially, culturally, nationally. Of course, change is inevitable, but the change that has taken place the last couple of decades has been swift, sweeping, and anything but hope-filled and peaceful. I have witnessed a desire among those of my age to go back to those ‘simpler’ times. I have also witnessed an intrigue and shock among younger generations about life just thirty years ago. And now, in the last half decade or more, there have been whispers and candid discussion of civil war. How is it that we are chronologically advancing but, as a nation, we are going backward. But, after investigating and scouring documents related to Gettysburg and the Civil War I would suggest to you the war never really ended. What I have to offer is context to not only understand the Civil War but, by extension, why we find ourselves in the state we do. Therefore, what I have to offer is hope, peace, fulfillment, joy, and a way forward amid these confusing and downright depressing times.
